Working for Western Growers Insurance Services (WGIS) in this role your main responsibility is to successfully implement Western Growers Assurance Trust (WGAT) new and existing (renewal) employer health plans from the initial submission to full implementation. This is a highly visible internal customer/colleague-facing role. The incumbent is responsible for developing a strong working relationship with staff in both WGIS and WGAT. The person in this job may have interactions with the member company employee responsible for health benefits in their respective organization.

• Implement new contracts within WGAT & PCMI through written procedures and training of appropriate personnel in WGIS.
• Collaborate with professionals in external and internal implementation teams e.g. HR, IT, field service representatives, sales professionals, and member-company decision makers to facilitate resolution and root-cause analysis for cross-functional operational issues.
• Research and resolve complex issues dealing with health care benefit policies for multiple agents. Trouble shoots electronic submissions to the Implementation department.
• Follow up with WGAT underwriting staff to determine adherence to quotes issued.
• Quoting/rating support on proposal system.
• Making outbound calls to follow-up on outstanding information
• Maintain all documentation required for reporting. Assure consistent and accurate documentation, and support all staff in regulatory filings activities.
• Remain externally focused while monitoring the submission statement process to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance. Develop and distribute regular status reports per the department guidelines.
• Assist in member/customer health plan implementation efforts, as required.

QUALIFICATIONS-The following qualifications are preferred to successfully accomplish this position:

o Minimum three (3) years’ experience in health benefits/insurance submissions preferred.
o Good knowledge of the health benefits insurance industry, general processes, various business unit functions and products.
o Strong computer software skills in word processing, spreadsheet and database management.
o Detail oriented with strong analytical skills, solve complex problems, ability to detect errors and/or anomalies.
o Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently.
o Strong organizational skills including ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple projects with competing deadlines.
o Account management and/or project management experience directly related to health benefits installation.
o Excellent presentation (ability to make a valid point and direct others to action), written and verbal communication skills, ability to assert thoughts and opinions with others including brokers.
o Keen attention to detail, a self-starter, flexible, results-oriented, self-driven, creative, comfortable with ambiguity
o Health license preferred.
o Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
