Job Description

Profile

Our client is a solid, successful, global technology company.

This is a newly created position to support the Senior Director of Accounting. You will head up a variety of initiatives in accounting such as, documentation of accounting policies and procedures, including implementation; valuation of global inventory; design accounting work flows and lead projects through design, testing and implementation of procedures.


Responsibilities

- Review Company product offerings and services, research current guidance and provide options on accounting treatment
- Apply accounting policies to ensure financial statements comply with US GAAP, and understand differences from alternate local GAAP for companies global entities
- Adhere to company and department policies and procedures, including internal control requirements relevant to the role
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial information and related quarterly reserves
- Assist in review and analysis of gross margin reporting
- Liaise on accounting matters with other departments
- Complete Quarterly and Year-end audit working papers, as necessary
- Lead ongoing departmental process reviews, with the goal of improving departmental efficiency
- Provide assistance and guidance in SKU management and maintenance
- Other ad hoc projects


Qualifications

- CPA, CA, CGA, CMA designation
- Previous experience working in a Technology company OR in Public Practice at Manager level with experience working with Tech companies
- Proficiency in Accounting standards review and application and policy writing
- Cost Accounting, Inventory and revenue recognition experience
- Project Management skills in leading initiatives and change management
- Proficient computer skills – ERP and Excel
- Confident, self-starter, focused, able to manage a multitude of tasks
- Strength in planning, coordination, analysis and problem solving
