Job Description

The Director of Community housing is responsible for the administrative and property management of Odyssey House community housing sites. The Director of Community Housing ensures that the Agency’s mission is carried out; and that the Agency’s policy and procedures are adhered to.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provides leadership and supervision to all staff
2. Identifies systemic problems in program & administrative domains, guiding staff toward developing a plan of action that addresses the problem and documents the solution in the form of program policy.
3. Facilitate all clinical areas of the programs
4. Monitor the intake of all new residents
5. Develop contacts with various agencies in order to refer clients as needed
6. Responsibilities also include performing assessment and evaluation of clients educational and vocational needs; researching, locating and evaluating community resources
7. Develop internal audit procedure in order to ensure that resident case files are in compliance with both agency policies and governmental regulations
8. Facilitate monthly community meetings, case conferences and staff meetings
9. Attend monthly community board meetings
10. Manages the program budget

REQUIREMENTS: EDUACTION/TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

1. Master’s Level Clinical Degree preferred.
2. 2 years experience in administration and one year in a clinical, mental health, housing or chemical dependency setting.
3. Qualified Mental Health Professional (e.g. LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, CRC, Ph.D., MSN, CASAC, etc.)
4. Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
5. This position will require availability as needed including on-call responsibilities.
