Job Description

Marketing Coordinator

Melissa Data is seeking a marketing coordinator for our Rancho Santa Margarita, CA office. The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for executing various tasks and marketing initiatives to support the department. Additionally, the coordinator will be responsible for planning, budgeting and facilitating public relations and social media activities relating to trade show and company-sponsored events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
• Provide support to the marketing team by coordinating and collating content; completing administrative duties such as data collection, lead entry and conducting market research to identify marketing opportunities.
• Assist in tracking, monitoring and analyzing social media platforms. Reporting on metrics to drive improvement and engagement.
• Communicate with advertisers, publishers and vendors as needed.
• Collecting data for marketing metrics reports.
• Coordinate virtual and physical trade show/conference activities and company-sponsored events including but not limited to:
o Schedule and lead meetings with management and staff
o Acquire contracts and facilitate signing with management
o Submit invoices and payment requests for associated costs
o Staff Scheduling + Hotel & Travel Bookings
o Order, organize and facilitate shipments of equipment/supplies
o Track collateral, equipment and supplies
o Organize trade show/event cross promotion through internal
o Identify additional advertising and sponsorship opportunities to promote our presence or participation in a trade show or event
o Reporting of
o Post-Show Lead Entry
• Assist in streamlining any workflow and documentation processes within the marketing department.
• Coordinate and moderate company and vendor webinars and other virtual programming.
• Other marketing and community related tasks to support the department and company.

In addition to the skills listed above, requirements for this job include:
• 1-2 years direct experience in administrative tasks, preferably in marketing field
• 1-2 years of direct experience in digital and marketing platforms
• 1-2 years in event coordination – experience in trade show industry planning is a plus.
• Understanding of each step of the marketing creative process (strategy, concept, requirements, design and development)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.

Additional Experience in these areas will be helpful:
• Familiarity with use of team management & communication software like Monday.com or similar and Slack.
• Standard knowledge of social media platform usage and utilization for marketing purposes.
• Any graphic design experience is a plus.
