Job Description

SE/QA Programmer/Product Manager

This job requires a programming/technical background as our products are primarily APIs, Software and Web Services. The Assistant Product Manager will assist in facilitating product releases, updates and maintenance to ensure that things get done in a timely manner. The Assistant Product Manager will also assist in ensuring our products remain competitive and relevant and that all work done meet the standards.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist Product Development in:
o Generating and maintaining product specifications
o Facilitating and following-up on Jira Tickets
o Ensuring bugs reported by QA and clients are posted on Jira and prioritized accordingly
o Ensuring all feature requests are written and prioritized in Jira accordingly
o Attending and reporting on meetings regularly regarding product statuses and what needs to be prioritized
o Conceptualizing and writing test cases for QA
o Product/Data testing through scripts/programs and SQL Data Analysis
o Suggesting product improvements
o Facilitating the execution of tasks between programming, product development and quality assurance.
o Facilitating releases or updates to Melissa products
• Serve as Liaison between Programming, IT, Channel managers and Sales to report on Product development timelines and the associated sales and opportunities for all assigned products.

REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s Degree in Programming / Computer Science / Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience
• Experience in Jira and Agile Methodology
• At least 1 year of management experience
• Strong reasoning, logical, analytical and problem-solving abilities is a must
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
• Past experience in API / Web Service Testing is a plus
• Past experience in Data Quality Testing is a plus
• SQL and RDBMS experience is a plus
• Experience in Unix is a plus
• Must be able to adjust well to changing priorities
• Able to perform duties with minimal supervision
