Job Description

Professional Surveyor: The successful candidate will assist the survey manager with professional surveying tasks, including but not limited to: QA/QC review of work by survey technicians. Completing and certifying ALTA/NSPS surveys. Calculation, resolution, and certification of boundary surveys. Preparing and/or certifying legal descriptions. Project coordination of internal clients, and Project management of external clients. Design and/or review of ODOT right of way plans. Must be a professional survey licensed in the State of Ohio and/or Michigan. ODOT right of way certification is a plus.

Survey Manager: The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily operations of the survey team. The Survey Manager will plan, direct, and coordinates work of survey crews, office surveyors and CAD technicians. Assist with QA/QC reviews of work and certify completed projects. Resolve boundary surveys, and complete ALTA/NSPS surveys. Project coordination for internal clients and project management of external clients. Work with group manager in the areas of new technology, evaluating and purchases of new equipment. Mentoring members of the survey group, participating in selection of new staff for employment and taking disciplinary action when necessary. This position has the career track of Group Manager. Must be a professional survey licensed in the State of Ohio and/or Michigan. Certification in ODOT right of way work is a plus.

Survey Field Technician: Candidate will assist the crew chief, as part of a two-person crew. This is a full time field position that will be involved in ALTA/NSPS surveys, boundary surveys, & topographic surveys. Some projects may require work on construction sites, industrial areas and facilities, and in and around water. Candidate will also assist with equipment maintenance, and keeping inventory of necessary supplies. Knowledge of survey equipment in optional. Experience with Trimble Robotic Total Stations, GNSS, and data collection systems a plus. This is an entry-level position with long- term growth potential.

The majority of all work is performed in Ohio and Michigan.
