Job Description

Primary Function:
The Shell Superintendent will oversee all on-site structural construction, including scheduling subcontractors, resolving day to day problems on the job site, team building, training and inspecting all work during construction to ensure compliance with plans and specifications for the project.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all the structure activities related to the execution of the foundations and structure of the buildings in accordance with the construction plans.
- Coordinate daily with all suppliers and subcontractors all activities related to the execution of the foundations and structure of the buildings.
- Plan and coordinate with group leaders all daily activities according to the work schedule.
- Request and correctly identify all purchase orders with all suppliers of materials and equipment necessary for the execution of all construction activities.
- Responsible for reviewing and approving all payment applications and vendor invoices.
- Participate and collaborate in all OAE coordination meetings.
- Prepare daily and photographic report of the progress of the work.
- Notify the construction team of all changes or deviations from the construction documents.
- Plan all work activities according to the work schedule and the look ahead schedule.
- Responsible for complying with and maintaining all project safety standards.
- Responsible for requesting form work equipment and required accessories in accordance with the pour sequence established in the schedule of activities.
- Responsible for the mobilization and demobilization coordination of the form work system.
- Responsible for the care, maintenance and cleaning of the form work system and all accessories.
- Responsible of buying all miscellaneous materials & rent all required equipment’s for the daily operations.
- Responsible for complying with the specifications and quality of the work established in the construction documents.
- Comply with and enforce the safety standards established in the work safety plan.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of work experience in construction supervision is necessary.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be acceptable.
- OSHA 10 or 30 hour safety training or relevant field safety experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Knowledge and Skills:
- General knowledge of construction scheduling, cost control and ability to control and supervise large groups.
- Understand and enforce contractual scope of work.
- Great communication skills, with ability to express ideas clearly and objectively, orally and in writing.
- Fluency in Spanish preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to perform according to agreed plans with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge in MS Office, ProCore, AutoCAD and Microsoft Project 2016 preferred but not necessary.
