Job Description

Our client is a revolutionary healthcare solutions provider dedicated to serving the agricultural community by meeting employer benefits needs, assisting members with compliance regulations, and advocacy with policymakers. They are seeking a hands-on Controller to be responsible for oversight of all finance, accounting and reporting activities. The Controller will be involved in supporting presentations to the board finance and audit committee and will work closely with the senior leadership team.

Responsibilities:


- Oversees all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements

- Maintains internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and budgets and actual expenditures

- Coordinates all audit activity

- Consistently analyzes financial data and presents financial reports in an accurate and timely manner

- Assists leadership in the annual budgeting and planning process

- Oversees all financial accounting; ensures that expenditures are consistently aligned with annual budgets

- Leverages strengths of the current finance team members and provides leadership in strengthening internal communications

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 3-5 years accounting and financial experience in auditing, financial evaluating and reporting

- Minimum of a BA; CPA and/or MBA preferred

- Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and unwavering commitment to mission; a proactive, hands-on strategic thinker who will own, in partnership with the CEO, the responsibility for finance

- Commitment to recruiting, mentoring, training, and retaining a diverse team and ability to delegate accordingly

- Keen analytic, organization and problem-solving skills

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data, including presentations to senior management and boards
