Job Description

Description : Our client is one of the largest tool and equipment retailers in the country. They are seeking an analytically-driven rockstar to work alongside space planners and category managers in advanced statistical modeling to drive recommendations that will improve sales and profitability in their space optimization efforts. While they are targeting a Senior Manager level, they would be open to candidates as junior as Senior Analyst who really have strong quant chops.

Responsibilities:

- Serve as the quant jockey on a team of store environment, corporate strategy, and category management leaders

- Provide micro and macro space optimization analysis of varying scopes, with implications across the organization, down to the performance of individual SKUs

- Leverage advanced analytical applications and models to identify new opportunities for product placement and assortment

- Develop KPIs and targets for planogram efficiency and effectiveness

- Ensure planograms are consistent with strategy, standards, and targets

- Partner with store team to design tests, read results, and distribute findings

- Build models to identify and track in-store space availability

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in a related field of equivalent experience

- 3-5 year’s work experience in data mining and statistical analysis

- MBA or advanced mathematics/statistics degree, preferred

- Experience with JDA, Apollo and/or other retail space planning software and/or SQL/Python, a plus – guru-level comfort with Excel, a must!

- Love of data and interest in working in a role where decisions will be driven by it!
