Title: Systems Analyst
Location: League City, Texas
Onsite: Yes, hybrid model
Salary: $64-120K (DOE)

Insurance Company with offices in League City, Texas is searching for a Systems Analyst with functional experience working with new and legacy software systems. This will be an onsite position with a hybrid model.

Remote Work:

This company is open to onsite or remote candidates. 100% remote will be considered for candidates outside of the Houston, Texas area.

About project:

This team works on a few different internal business systems. The Systems Analyst will work on their E-Apps team. They need a Systems Analyst to help organize and run efforts and projects using agile methodologies, analyze various different business processes and recommend and implement enhancements and automation that save the business time and money.

Education:

Bachelors’ degree in IT or Business Administration, Computer Science or equivalent work experience.

Requirements:

• Must be technical and been exposed to tracking down issues and extracting data to connect the dots.
• Experienced in creating SQL queries to chase data down and extract data from SQL Server.
• Strong skills in XML and JSON.
• Familiarity to web applications and how they communicate to pass data is a big plus.
• Ability to provide leadership to large business process improvement projects
• Familiarity with workflow/process improvement concepts
• Background in Agile/Scrum practices


Responsibilities:

Work with the business area representatives to discover, analyze and document the existing business processes.
Design and document the improved and/or automated business process and document the related user stories/requirements.
Plan and coordinate projects/large work efforts using the agile development methodology.
Use appropriate tools (e.g. Microsoft TFS) to organize, manage and report status on work efforts
Schedule and lead/facilitate regular status meetings, playbacks to the business and any other meetings necessary to the project or work effort.
Serve as liaison between developers and business community to resolve
questions/issues related to software requirements and design.
Coordinate/assist with unit testing of delivered code
Coordinate migrations and perform checkout of code afterward.
