Job Description

Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement overall marketing and sales strategy, subject to approval by the owners
• Focus on medical device markets
o One-stop shop approach: company provides all services needed for your medical device:
 Regulatory Affairs
 Quality systems
 Concept development/ideation
 Product development – engineering through qualification, fully compliant with national and international regulations
 Product approval – regulatory agencies in US, Canada, EU, other
 Product safety qualification – Nationally Recognized Test Labs (UL, CSA, etc.)
 Product manufacturing – electromechanical instruments & sterile disposables
 Product distribution
 Product and customer service support
• Establish communication approach to make the company a well-recognized name
o Locally
o Nationally
o Possibly internationally in select market areas
• Be a representative for the company in the local and national medical device community
o Colorado BioScience Association
o Local universities and other organizations
o National presence and involvement
• Lead generation for RA/QA, Product Development and Manufacturing projects and partnerships
• Engage potential clients on technical and business levels
o Engage in deep engineering issues to build confidence in the company as a fully capable, experienced resource for the client as represented by their initial contact
o Engage in business discussions with clients and potential clients with project options and approaches
• Participate in the preparation and presentation of proposals and statements of work and in closing sales contracts/agreements
• Be the client representative for the company, working with, but independently from the assigned Project Managers working on client programs
• Deal with client issues that may arise in working through development/manufacturing projects

The successful candidate will have:
• In depth experience in the medical device marketplace including understanding of regulatory compliance throughout the design, development and manufacturing processes
• A degree in engineering or other technical discipline
• Experience with electromechanical and sterile disposable equipment in patient care applications
• Strong sales experience
• A broad and strong network of applicable contacts in the medical device marketplace
• A minimum of 10 years directly applicable, successful experience
