Job Description

Manufacturing Execution System Manager
This position is responsible for managing the MES department and the implementation and of a new, companywide MES software. The implementation of the system includes strategic planning, system validation, regulatory compliance and multi-departmental collaboration throughout the process of creating Electronic Batch Records (EBR) to replace paper batch records of laboratory activities in a diagnostic environment. Laboratories including, but not limited to the following: Buffer Preparation, Antibody Purification, EIA, Cell Culture, Microparticle, IQA, QC, Microbiology, Calibrator, Filling and Labeling/Packaging.

Essential Functions

• Manages the implementation of the MES software within Manufacturing Laboratories (Work Centers)
• Manages the MES resources (EBR Authoring, Validation, Technical/System Admin and Post launch support)
• Manages the implementation strategy for each Lab/Work Center, interacting with area owners and Subject Matter Experts to accurately capture departmental procedures during EBR authoring.
• Generates implementation strategies for Work Centers in correlation with roll out strategy and communicates status updates to Project Manager
• Manages external resources as required for implementation
• Participates in Risk Assessments
• Manages the authoring of MES Standard Operating Procedures

Education and Work Experience Required:

• Bachelors in Relevant Field
• Minimum 3 years MES related experience
• Minimum 3 years of Management experience
