Job Description

Our client, a growing Phase I unit located in Monmouth County, is currently looking for a Principal Investigator! This is a full-time opportunity to join a great team! Previous experience with clinical trials is a plus, however the team will consider someone who has recently completed residency, and is interested in training for a career in clinical research.

JOB SUMMARY
The Principal Investigator (PI) promotes good clinical practices in the conduct of clinical investigations by assuring adherence to protocol requirements, protecting the rights and welfare of subjects, assuring the integrity of data generated at the site and directing the conduct of the clinical investigation according to federal and state regulations and guidance documents. The Principal Investigator assumes full responsibility for the conduct of the clinical trial and may delegate responsibilities in accordance with GCPs when approved by the Chief Operating Officer.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Must have MD, DO or Ph.D. degree
• Must have NY or NJ or both medical license(s).
• Previous clinical research experience, with a focus on industry-sponsored clinical trials
• Training in Advance Cardiac Life Support.
• Board certified or board eligible in a primary care specialty, (e.g., internal medicine, psychiatry, emergency medicine)
• Excellent team player
• Good problem solving skills are required in identifying, resolving and alerting others to operational problems
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
