Job Description

Our Client is seeking an Assistant Controller to join their team. Will be responsible for assisting with the monthly closing / reporting process for multiple affiliated companies, regulatory compliance, analysis of financial results, integrity of accounting systems and special projects. The position is an integral part of the finance team and involved in cross-departmental initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:
• Support most aspects of accounting management including general ledger, invoicing, and collections.
• Timely completion of financial statements and custom reports for management of multiple entities.
• Monthly capital investment tracking and management.
• Maintain monthly financial work papers and reconciliations.
• Assist with year-end audit process and responsible for achieving satisfactory auditor reviews.
• Work with operations on billing backup for invoicing, subsequent collections and cash applications.
• Monthly credit card statement reviews / receipt matching, as well as monthly bank statement reviews / reconciliation.
• Compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Monitor and manage the internal control environment.

Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• A minimum of 3-5 years accounting experience with general ledger and other functions within a growth company.
• Proven understanding of general ledger journal entries, tax reporting, and budgets.
• Proactive personality with excellent interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding communication skills and ability to build meaningful relationships with stakeholders.
• Strong computer skills and knowledge of relevant technology; QuickBooks experience preferred.
