Job Description

Blue Line Talent is looking for a high performing engineering equipment Technical Support / Training professional with experience in automation and electrical systems in support of mining equipment. This is a direct hire opportunity supporting the midwest US. Expect travel to ~60% to client sites. Enjoy career mobility with this large global engineering organization.

Position: Technical Support (Engineering Training/Product Support - Automation and Electrical systems) - Midwest USA

Position Details:
• Provide technical support to distributors and end customers for mining industry products and services
• Answer questions and troubleshoot any related problems about automation and electrical technology based product and services
• Provide detailed technical design and drawings of automation and electrical design per product line
• Program, configure and troubleshoot displays, PLC’s and automation components related
• Supervise automation and electrical installations when required
• Support sales projects involving automation and electrical integration
• Develop documentations related to; components identifications, installation and startup procedures
• Provide technical automation and electrical systems training for distributor personnel
• Identify automation equipment per distributors, customers and territories to effectively communicate parts, product and service bulletins
• Support and participate in crushing and screening equipment startup and commissioning activities
• Ensure all required product updates are completed by assigned distributors in a timely manner
• Verify that all delivery & acceptance, commissioning, warranty registration and product warranty processes are completed by distributors
• Verify that all Delivery & Acceptance, Commissioning, Warranty Registration (CWR) and Product
• Communicate with all levels of company, internally and externally with direct sales and service, distributors and customers
• Frequent weekday travel is required, up to 60%, as needed, including mostly regional US, some other domestic and international

Experience Profile:
• BS degree in an Engineering subject
• 2-4+ years applicable engineering product technical support and/or training experience
• Experience in automation and electrical systems
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics
• Technical support experience in construction or mining industries
• Solid knowledge base in the mining industry
• Solid personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office products
• Excellent verbal and written communications and customer interaction skills
• Strong desire to learn and to teach others
• Must be autonomous, work with minimum supervision
• Self-motivated professional that works equally well in a team / independent project environment
• Ability to travel up to 60%, including mostly regional midwest US with some other US and international, as required
• A stable record of full time direct employment

Preferred/Helpful:
• Some experience working with mining, aggregates, crushing and screening equipment
• Other mining equipment - grinding mills, conveyors, loaders, linings, etc.
• Exposure to mining equipment maintenance, repair, upgrades, and operation.

Notes:
• Weekday travel will primarily be in the midwest US with some other US and some international
• Company car is provided for regional travel
• Relocation assistance can be available
