Job Description

Our Boulder County client, a global leader in the industrial and grid scale power conversion space seeks a multi-discipline engineering configuration management – documentation control professional to join their engineering organization. The culture is collaborative and fast-paced offering a broad mix of projects, with many new products in the pipeline for commercialization. All R&D, product development and final product assembly and releases are performed on-site. An environment offering excellent long-term growth and a promote from within opportunity. This new role has been created due to unprecedented growth and reports to a seasoned engineering manager who is not a micromanager and constantly strives for team member empowerment, recognition, growth and success.

You will have a broad-based skill-set. You will be passionate about well documented engineering processes, procedures, testing, supplier relationships and manufacturing operator - assembly instructions. You will have a strong interest in working with a seasoned and stable R&D - engineering - production - manufacturing (on-site) workforce. An interest and ability to actively contribute on multiple projects offering varying degrees of complexity, challenge and scope. You will be open-minded and flexible, as your day will find you juggling multiple projects and priorities. You will be a hands-on, collaborative team player with an interest in working with and learning from a seasoned workforce that delivers only the best of class products with a burning desire for customer satisfaction.

Position Title: Engineering Configuration Management – Documentation Control professional

Work Location: Boulder County, Colorado (A reasonable daily commute for those along the north Denver metro to Fort Collins corridor)

Compensation: Salaried. Profit sharing. Full benefit package, i.e. healthcare, retirement plan, PTO.

Experience Profile:
• Highly effective with general business computer software and general data management: Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio (MS products preferred others okay), image capture and annotation, file conversion, etc.
• Able to automate repeated tasks.
• Able to create and manage large sets of files with appropriate structure.
• A proven ability in writing very clear, concise business reports, business process documents, with proper structure, organization, grammar, etc.
• Experience using databases and ERP systems: creating - managing Bills of Materials, item masters, basic customization of tables/queries/reports.
• Experience using - managing a formal change process, Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and/or Document Change Notice (DCNs).
• A basic technical understanding of mechanical and electrical components and the documentation used to describe them.
• A stable record of direct employment.

Preferred/Helpful:
• BS degree in EE, ME, Physics
• SyteLine ERP. Altium BOMs. SolidWorks. Gerber Files.
• Manufacturing - Operator Instructions - Training. Parts - components selection - approval. UL, NEC regulatory standards - approvals.
• Applications development (C#, Visual Basic, Python). Web Development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, WordPress, etc.).
