Job Description

This DevSecOps engineer role will be reviewing and assessing the security of applications and of Kubernetes infrastructure. The DevSecOps engineer will also participate in the global cloud security team helping to iteratively enhance the overall security of the company.

We regret this role is not eligbile for C2C workers.

Responsibilities of the DevSecOps Engineer:
• Provide security oversight and assist development Scrum/Flex teams
• Provide SME support on secure code implementation, design and architecture in applications and Kubernetes
• Threat-modeling & risk analysis
• Training
• Participate in providing annual OWASP & PCI training for developers
• Helps maintain updated Secure Coding Best Practices and Kubernetes Security Standards
• Review services as the scrum team prepares to migrate them from the mainframe.
• Perform security assessments on each service, taking into consideration corporate security standards, PCI requirements, and AWS best practices. Define new security standards for new services and share them with the rest of the Cloud Security and Application Security teams.
Qualifications of the DevSecOps Engineer:
• 5+ years AWS preferable in a IaC environment
• 5+ years application or infrastructure architecture
• Experience working in an Infrastructure as Code (IaC) environment and a willingness to help define security standards for use by multiple teams.
• CI/CD GitOps experience (Jenkins, Terraform),
• Kubernetes experience
• Application Security
• Risk management, threat modeling and common application level vulnerabilities
• Findings/vulnerability prioritization
• Mitigation strategy
• Controls Evaluation – Review, validate, recommend and create standards

Preferred Qualifications of the DevSecOps Engineer:
• AWS Security Professional, AWS Architect Professional, CCSP, CISSP
• BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business / Management Information Systems or related field
