Minimum 2 years working experience with hazardous waste, mechanically inclined, can maintain lab equipment, knowledge of DOT/EPA/RCRA/OSHA regulations. Someone with knowledge of cleaning up chemical spills in laboratory environment. Must have a science background in Chemistry, Biology or Environmental Science.

What does it take to be successful at Environmental Management Services, Inc. ?

Candidate must be able to work well independently, as well as, part of a team. Must have integrity, be flexible, have good written and verbal communication skills, be dependable, detail oriented, must have knowledge of EPA hazardous waste codes, hazard classes, be able to research using reference materials, safety data sheets, be able to work indoors, as well as outdoor in all kinds of weather, maintain a professional image, able to drive box trucks, maintain a clean driving record no more than 2 moving violations. Ability to work 40-50 hours a week and be on-call 24 hours/7 days a week for emergency spill response. Must be able to handle and move drums of at least 250-450 pounds, stand for 8 hours per day, operate tools and equipment safely. Proficient in English, written and reading required. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug testing and a background check and DOT/Medical physical before hire.
