Job Description

We are looking for an energetic, self-motivated Human Resources Assistant who wants to grow in their career. This role will support Sovereign Pharmaceuticals manufacturing plant, as well as some corporate initiatives.
What will you do?
As a HR Assistant, you will do it all!  We are looking for someone to help us create and foster those experiences of Servant Leadership that make us the preferred place to work, continuing to enhance and grow our culture. Some areas of focus:
• Spearhead recruitment and retention plans.
• Foster a highly engaged workforce through appropriate communications and create a robust Onboarding experience.
• Monitor and administer all FMLA, Workers Compensation, and COVID initiatives.
• Prepare and interpret metrics that enable informed decision-making and value creation. This would include analysis and plans related to turnover, compensation, onboarding, morale, etc.
• Learn the business to offer compelling business cases/initiatives that will propel us to the next level of success.
What skills, abilities, characteristics and education you bring to the role:
• A desire to grow in your career and eventually taking on more responsibility.
• Provides clerical support to the HR department.
• Complete orientation and onboarding of new employees including periodic follow-up to ensure assimilation and engagement.
• Perform administrative duties, such as maintaining employee database, HR files, records, and documentation.
• Maintain proper records of employees’ attendance and leaves in coordination with the Payroll department.
• Submit online job postings and schedule job interviews.
• Assists with planning and execution of special events.
Minimum education/work experience requirements:

• Must have a minimum of an Associate degree with preference to those with a BS/BA with ~1-2 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
• A concentrated focus in staffing
• Must be professional, dependable and self-starter.
• Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Will work one day a week from 11am to 7pm
