Job Description

PLANT AUTOMATION / PROCESS CONTROLS ENGINEER:

• Support existing PLC and DCS systems for improvements
• Program and troubleshoot Rockwell PLC, Siemens (PCS7) DCS, and Historian Software.
• Provide controls/automation technical support. New installations / replacement / upgrading of existing systems.
• Diagnose technical issues and provide recommendations/solutions for corrective actions.
• Drive improvements through small capital projects, advanced control techniques, loop tuning, and various automation tools.
• Review, specify, design, and/or install process control systems
• Participate in long-term strategic development of site process control systems.

EXPERIENCE:
• 10+ years of experience in PLC and data acquisition systems.
• Significant Experience in Ladder Logic, Safety PLC programming, and HMI design is essential.
• Allen-Bradley PLC hardware and software experience required (SLC, ControlLogix, RSLogix500, RSLogix5000).
• Experience troubleshooting, revising, and optimizing existing control schemes
• Experience with Loop-tuning and control loop performance improvement preferred.
• Experience with networks and communication protocols preferred.

EDUCATION:
Prefer Associates or BS EE or EET degree, but experience is the most important requirement
