Job Description
HR GENERALIST, Atlanta, GA area
Specialty chemical manufacturer is seeking a well-rounded Human Resources Generalist for their corporate office. This position will also support local manufacturing plants.
*Will provide daily human resource support while overseeing human resources policies, procedures, and programs. The HR Generalist carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee engagement, benefits & payroll, 401k, recruiting & staffing, onboarding, employee relations, training and development, and compliance.
*Need someone reliable with attention to detail.
*Provide weekly, monthly, and annual reporting.
*Assist with full cycle recruitment efforts, including job posting, interviews, and new hire processes.
*Collaborates with the HR team in developing and implementing all aspects of performance management - coaching and counseling, disciplinary actions, improvements to performance and productivity, annual reviews, exit interviews, etc.
• Maintain programs, reports, logs, and procedures as required to ensure compliance with company, state and federal employment regulatory agencies (DOL, EEOC, etc.)
• Administration of Human Resource Information Systems.
• Supports and champions Employee Relations, Employee Engagement, Sustainability, and Community Relations activities.
• Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to improve the department's efficiency and services performed.
• Have a plant presence with a “boots on the ground” approach (corporate position but manufacturing site is commutable).
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources or business administration discipline is required.
• Three or more years of related work experience is required.
• Prior benefits administration and payroll processing experience is a plus.
• Prior experience working in a chemical or manufacturing environment.
Competencies
• Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written skills; superior PC, Windows, and MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
• Positive and proactive attitude with the ability to address issues and implement solutions.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative while also working cooperatively with others
• Possess excellent facilitation and conflict-resolution skills.

Must be an US Citizen or Permanent Resident already living in the US.
