Job Description

Lead a collaborative team to create, grow, and implement broadline foodservice solutions for retail convenience store customers and forge mutually beneficial partnerships inside and outside the organization. Develop a high-quality team by creating partnerships, leading, coaching, and providing both positive and constructive feedback. Responsible for broadline foodservice company strategy and long-term goals.

• Lead development and execution of the broadline foodservice strategy for relevant customer segments.
• Use initiative and innovation in the development and implementation of retailer foodservice programs in collaboration with other corporate teams.
• Assist in defining appropriate future foodservice strategies which align with companies short- and long-term profit goals.
• Implement broadline foodservice offerings including product selection, market strategies, and execution.
• Create new broadline foodservice infrastructure (people, programs, processes, buildings, etc.) with a laser focus on customer needs.
• Create a new test kitchen, complete with, but not limited to, equipment, chefs, etc.
• Develop a broadline foodservice team – recruiting, developing, advancing the team.
• Work with foodservice consultants to develop the strategy and bridge gap from current to future state as thoughtfully and quickly as possible.
• Analyze and prepare detailed data on expenses, sales, and profit potential.
• Develop appropriate budgetary needs for team including headcount, payroll, and travel including forecast savings and additional costs as appropriate.
• Establish supplier relationships that maximize supplier performance and minimize supply chain costs.
• Evaluate the performance of each program post implementation to ensure proper execution and realization of sales and profit goals.
• Oversight and on-going review of future innovation and kitchen facilities, quality of broadline foodservice solutions, consulting opportunities, purchasing, marketing, and operational costs.
• Lead projects across enterprise areas to keep workflow on track.
• Design presentations and present results to customers, suppliers and senior leadership for pending projects and other appropriate topics.

Qualifications:
• College degree (BA or BS), in business or related field.
• 10 or more years of experience in a large retail, grocery or food service company preferred.
• 10 or more years of progressively responsible experience in a relatable field at a managerial or director level.
• Must be an effective liaison and communicator between executive leadership team, marketing, sales, operations, and other teams.
• Must have the ability to build, mentor, motivate, support, and lead the foodservice team potentially comprised of asset buyers, analysts, sales, and other teammates needed for all aspects of company’s broadline foodservice programs.
• Experience with wholesale/retail industries is preferred.
• Excellent leadership/coaching skills are required.
• Advanced knowledge of large company systems including financials and P&L statements.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to plan, forecast, and exercise sound judgment.
