Job Description

Payroll Tax Analyst - Human Capital Management

Responsibilities and Deliverables
• Agency notice resolution, accurate documentation and timely response to client via phone and or email.
• Work with all employees of the tax department to ensure timelines are met for all daily, quarterly and annual filings.
• Communicate with Application Support team to ensure all required tax information is obtained from client, including account numbers and rates for accurate and timely client set up.
• Manage the tax functions for all service tickets, correction tickets and lost client tickets in SalesForce.
• Research employee set up when a new tax code is generated.
• Gather client account application instruction, forms etc.
• Register EFTPS batch software.
• Maintain and reconcile quarterly 941 filings to Annual 940 and W3 balancing as well as to data in payroll and tax software systems.
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or Accounting
• MasterTax experience required
• 5 or more years' experience in payroll/payroll tax operations in a multi-company, multi-state organization, outsourcing environment preferred.
• 5 or more years' working with agencies on notice resolution.
• Strong knowledge of applicable Federal and State Tax regulations
• Prior experience working with Accounting software, HCM, CRM and Payroll systems
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within payroll tax accounting.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to review and analyze tax data to identify and resolve problems.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Excellent people, customer service and organizational skills.
• Extremely detail oriented and focused on completion and follow up.
• Strong collaboration, verbal and written communication skills.
• Skilled in dealing with financial and numeric data.
• Ability to multi-task and take on multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with associates throughout the company and outside contacts, including financial institutions and client companies.
